Definitely mowing lawns. Charge at least $20 a lawn.

I was just thinking about this today. In my neighborhood we are in such need of a person to simply mow the lawn. My parents are about 70 and father's really sick and my mother has been doing it. I told her to hire a landscaping service and get it done but she doesn't hink it's that serious.

Present your parents with a business plan and they'll think your a rocket scientist. Tell them what the cost is of someone who wants to hire a little kid vs. what you will charge. I'd easily pay $15-20 for our lawn. You'd be done in an hour. Then figure out your target crowd. Make sure you get the word out to the older people around. Then establish what the cost of the mower would be. Figure out ahead of time how many lawns you'd have to mow to pay off the mower.

The best part is selling the business, clients included to a younger sibling before you go to college.

Paperboy or girl.I know a 13 year old boy who has been delivering paper since he was 8 years old.He opened his own savings account with his Mom's help & every dollar goes toward his college education. He has a very good amount saved already.Later, when he is older he is going to get a better paying job.All this was his own idea.
