Businesses making money through social sites??

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Hey guys,
Can you give me some specific examples of how vendors or companies use facebook/myspace/orkut/linkedin to make money?
thanks!

They make money in two main ways:

* Advertising on the site
* Creating a large population of a particular demographic = more advertising/promotion/newsletter advertisement revenue

They may also do data mining, but it depends on what the terms and conditions says.

Is there really a way to make money on line? ?

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

I have checked into so many bogus web sites. What about Ebay?
Okay, I tried to check out these web sites that were mentioned and McAfee cautioned me immediately! I would like more info on Ebay from successful sellers. thanks.

There are many legitimate ways. However, most are scams.

Ebay is fine. It's a good, legitimate company. If you have products to sell, great. A lot of people contract with drop shippers, so someone orders from your listing on Ebay, and it gets fulfilled by a third party.

A few ways to smell a rip-off:

(1) If someone wants money up-front from you before you start performing some services. Now, it may be OK to pay for something upfront–an eBook, for instance–that provides legitimate information. But as Blogo found out, "pay to play" is not a good idea.

(2) If someone promises you large amounts of money after a very short time. People do make money online, but it takes time and effort. You may earn a few pennies here and there filling out surveys, but not the hundreds or thousands of dollars a week.

(3) If someone says you can make a lot of money without spending money. Now, this isn't contradicting Point One. There are plenty of people who make a lot of money. But they also spend a lot. They do pay-per-click advertising, they do videos, they do all sorts of things. They view their online business as a business. If you were operating a bricks-and-mortar business, you'd have rent, utilities, advertising, etc. Online, you have domain names, hosting, autoresponders, advertising, web site design, etc.

Anyhow, use those three tests to weed out the scams.

Hope that helps.

Does anybody know of a good way to make money online without internet marketing?

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

I am not good at internet marketing and i am looking for a good way to make money online. In a quick way

Internet Marketing is hard to get going off the ground. Any business is hard to get started and really get it going. But it can be done. I'm not sure if your talking about a business that is involved in Internet Marketing, or if your talking about a job that your doing Internet marketing. If you have a "job" in internet marketing and they're not training you, and you don't like it, then you need to quit and look for something else. If your refering to a business that you have or are looking for with Marketing, then I suggest you look into, or turn it into (depending on if you have it or not) and use the Network Marketing method. Word of mouth or simple little advertisements. Every business regardless if it's online or offline has to do some Networking in order to get their business going. Rather it's Networking with the Media, networking through friends and family, or networking through other organizations. Many different ways of Network Marketing. From my experience, it's the most effective way too, if you do it correctly.
I read a really good article that gives you a lot of information on businesses that work in different ways for online and off line business. It has several different industries that you can look into for businesses that are not internet marketing.

Ideas for kids costumes for school play?

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

The kids are doing a play for the end of year concert at school, and I need help with a camel costume and a peacock costume. Any ideas or helpful websites I can look at to make something - CHEAP is the key word here - no money to hire outfits or buy expensive material to make something. The kids are 6 years old. Thanks!

On the camel, I think the hardest part might be the head - either that, or having two 6 year olds try to walk in tandem! But here's an idea: have them both wear brown pants or sweats, use a thin foam padding material to create a basic 2-hump shape, and drape brown material or even a brown sheet over it. You may even be able to just paint the face of the front child to resemble a camel. Here is a picture for a 'general' idea:

As for the peacock, check out this costume:

What is the best method to make some money online/ not an overnight rich scheme.?

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

I want money making opportunity that is legit.

There are a lot of money making opportunities that are legitimate. The best method in my opinion and from personal experience is to have a home based on line business. Run it both ways on line and off line. Businesses are not over night rich scheme’s either. They do take time to build. But while your building it, you have an incredible income opportunity to have. Once you’ve build it, the income is good and solid. they don’t happen over night, but they don’t take long to build a successful business either. It pretty much depends on how much effort and effective effort you put into it. First you need to figure out what type of product or a service you want to provide to the public. Then look into that industry on how to work it from home. Or collaborate with a company that is already well established and take a cut of their profits. A lot of different ways you can go about it and make a very good living off it.

How can a kid make money online ?

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

i am a kid i want to make money online(no ebay please)

I've visited and participated in various sites where people can make money and was most annoyed by how many of them used "employees" as spam mules. For example, Cash Crate requires its people to pass out their email addresses like they're candy, and though people might make a couple of dollars here and there for their efforts, no one compensates them for the amount of spam their email (or alternately managed email) address receives.

If you'd like to read a list of options which includes spam-free sites like DeviantArt, Zenfolio, eHow, and so many others, please click on the link below.
